On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 Schulmerich hosted the Horseless Carriage Club of America Tour. The local tour, “Brass in Bucks County,” was sponsored by the “Old Tyme Car Club.” All of the cars on display in our parking lot were built in 1915 or earlier and were adorned with lots of “brass” trim. Cars arrived from all over the United States.

There were approximately 160 people who toured our facility. Throughout the day over 70 vintage cars were on display. Some vintage cars were in the price range of five hundred thousand dollars--in case anyone has a few extra dollars to spend. Many of the Horseless Carriage Club members were dressed in era appropriate apparel. It was a great sight to see. At times it literally stopped traffic in our community.
Tours at Schulmerich began at 9:30 am and lasted until about 4:00 pm. Our facility and grounds were cleaned and manicured in preparation for our guests. Wow, everything looked great. Flowers and flags adorned our carillon house. Refreshments, fresh Philly soft pretzels and lemonade, were available for all.
Everyone enjoyed the tour. Comments were made that this was the best tour ever experienced by the Horseless Carriage Club.

So, why all the fuss over a tour? Truth be told, tours are very important to Schulmerich because it allows us to present who we are and why we believe in the Schulmerich commitment to quality and our products. All of the individuals on tour were seen as potential donors for all the products that we sell. In fact, while we spoke to everyone inside our cast bell carillon house, we informed them that the majority of all our instruments are purchased through the generous gifts of donors.
